Virginia Adams, 2019-2020
Hello! I’m Virginia Adams and this is my portfolio of work for the Humanities 103/104 course at Davidson College. Please navigate this website however you so choose; no order works better than the other. The definitions encompass key terms from the course, the something news consist of my own create invention, and the revisited work contain expanded revisions (and, in one case, a combination) of class assignments.
The theme for my portfolio is “what we do not know.” As I have had the privilege of learning alongside incredible Professors and peers this year, I have not only learned more but have also learned how much I have left to learn. Sometimes, as I have also come to understand, knowledge exists that we cannot know. My research paper on translation addresses this complex.
I would like to thank the wonderful teaching team (Professors Quillen, Robb, Tamura, Wills, Bory, Munger, Ewington, and Denham), fellows, and other students in the program, whose help was tremendous in the composition of this project.
